Have I missed posts about best pricing and promos for Hal on this board?
I've been looking and waiting for HAL to send a offers on S Suites offers that are VERY GOOD on price. Anybody getting these? Where should I look? Thanks.

I have gotten some "View and Veranda" sale notices from HAL and travel agencies ... but I've not seen anything specifically on S category cabins. I think your best bet is to contact one of the larger agencies that have a national presence and get quotes from them. They are the most likely to get the best rates from Holland America.

I didn't get any engraved invitation either. I was doing my usual checking-to-make-sure-the-price-hasn't-gone-down thing on the HAL website when I found out it HAD gone down... SIGNIFICANTLY. So I called the TA and they lowered it.

Can you please explain where you check for reduced prices?
Thanks for your response.

Just go through the process as if you were booking a cruise. You will get to a screen that shows cabin availability and prices with or without transportation.

Unlike RCCL where the price is now the same everywhere, I noticed that HAL's prices are much higher direct from HAL than on other sites. Can anyone recommend a good place to check prices?

There is a site called *************.com
You enter the ship, date of sail and you can specify 2 room types. I always put in mini suite & suite. They send your request out to internet agencys . They then come back with quotes. All the work is done for you.
You use a phony name (like here) . Your email is notified that there is a quote, then you go back to ************* and log in. It is great. Because your email address is not given out, no one hounds you. You are in control.
You can actually have 2 different sailings out for quotes at the same time if you are not sure which one you are going to take. I just did that for the Princess Diamond and the Holland Ryndam for Easter week.
good luck !

1.) Book into a Group
&
2.) Book EARLY
My family sailed with me on the Ryndam this past December and had an amazing deal on an "S" because they booked so far out. I'd never seen an "S" that inexpensive.
Ask your travel professional if he/she should happen to have group availability for a particular sail date. If he/she does have a group established, check on "S" pricing and I'd bet that rates are more competitive.

We can't book early because we are wanting something soon.
I really just want to check for lowest price, because I have a great TA that usually matches waht I find. I just don't have any experience with HAL and I ho0pe my TA deals with them enough to get a deal.
I will try the recommended site...thank you! :)
