These are "fully obstructed" cabins on the promenade deck. How are they obstructed?

The cabins on Lower Promenade are obstructed by the hull of the ship across the promenade area. People in those cabins at least get daylight. If they look left or right there will also be a view of the sea and sky. These cabins are smaller than the outside cabins one deck down.

The Lower Promonade deck cabins are a bit 'shorter' than the outside cabin one deck down as Ruth says, but they have the advantage of being more convenient to stepping outside onto the Promonade deck. Our LP room had a loveseat instead of a couch, so it's maybe 2 feet shorter. Full Obstructed view looks directly at a blank wall across the deck, with the open railing off to one side; people will walk by your window so you owuld want to keep the drapes closed at night. If you have a guarantee reservation you could get an upgrade:)
Hope it works out for you. For me, I'd just be happy to be on the ship:D

In this picture the first window is the partially obstructed DD3385, and the next two are HH3383 and 3381. The two HH look straight out at a solid steel wall, which is casting the shadow on the deck.

We are booked in a cat HH guarantee. I'm not concerned about any obstructed view as long as I get some sun light through the window. My only concern is possible noise from the deck right above it. Anyone have any noise problems who have stayed on this deck? We're newbies to HAL, so I'm not sure what to expect.
thanks,

Anyone have any noise problems who have stayed on this deck? You could get noise from above depending on where you are.
When we were below the galley on the Amsterdam (3385) we had a lot of thumping and bumping overhead all night, like there was a heavy cart with a flat spot on one wheel, plus someone who dropped bowling balls! Maybe you'll be luckier, but better bring some earplugs just in case. :):)
