Checking this morning for the 2006 caribbean sailings on the HAL website. Well, we're getting there, they now have the Noordam sailings through April 2006 on the web site. The others have to be just around the corner to be posted. Stay tuned............

Thanks Doone. Maybe they will post the other ships soon, especially our beloved Volendam. We are looking forward to sailing with you in February of next year.

Just tried the HAL website to check fares.
Got 'error-connection timed out ..... try again later'

GRRRRRRRR!!!!!

LOL

Figures, when you wanna check it out, the dam site goes down!
I'll report back later

Don't feel bad Vic, I try it every single day and I get the same thing. Don't sure how others are pulling it up.

I think prices that I am hearing are so far fetched that I now plan to wait a few months I am sure they will come down. I understand it is a 10 day cruise but not worth more than double of a 7 day cruise.

Yikes

What ARE the fares like??

Vic, Expedia shows $1929 per person for an OCEAN VIEW for the week of March 15 2006 and more the weeks after. They are not even quoting any higher categorys they want you to call in. I can only imagine the price of S Suite. I might need to Mortgage the Homestead:D

1929???

I think I'll wait after all for the prices to come down.
Even if it means getting stuck with an inside cabin.

I wish everyone would wait for the fares to come down. If HAL finds they're not booking at those rates, they'll have to bring them down. Trouble is there are always people who just seem to have money to burn.

It's sure way out of my range so I'll have to meet all you great people on another cruise somewhere:) .

The penthouse was $8400 per person, S suites $4500 (per person) and SS around $3500 per person - ridiculous. Even the Queen Mary 2's inaugural wasn't this bad...

Well, it's 2am EST and the HAL website STILL won't show the fares for the 'dam' ship! LOL

It keeps coming up with an 'internal error'

Guess they're still working on it?

Thanks for the heads up, Doone. I'm hoping that maybe by tomorrow they'll have more info available. Interesting how all of the itineraries are 10 days, necessitated of course by homeporting the ship in NYC. NYC is such an expensive place to stay, not to mention how the airports are nightmares with constant delays. If I'm going to do a 10-day, I'd rather fly to Florida and leave from one of their airports.

Thanks doone - we too, have anxiously awaited the intineraries and fares... unfortunately, we won't pay those prices. I think we will wait.

I'd love to do the maiden voyage, I just can't justify spending so much on a 10-day cruise.

Hi Everyone,

Here is a website that might get you better prices, *************.com. You submit a request for prices and then you get 4, 5, 6 or more quotes from TA's. Take a look and see if anyone is offering anything better than what you are seeing.

Chris :D

My question is: Will the NOORDAM be ready on schedule. Some of them have been known to be late coming out of the Yards near Venice.

I don't wait for the fares to come down. I want to be guaranteed of the cabin of my choice. So I book and watch the fares, when they do go down, my TA always gets me the lowest price and I get the cabin I want in the area I want. But that's me. Still waiting, but will try expedia, thanks for the info on that.

Sage, I hope you sail with us Feb. 2006, anyone else want to join in????

Actually, almost all of the ships coming out of Fincatieri as of late have been delivered early...

Still can't see fares, and cabin choices for the 2/2006 on Noordam! It's always the same 'internal error' message.

You'd think they'd have it fixed by now ..... it's been what, a week already??

Anyone else having the same problem?
I'm wondering if it's me (or my pc), or the HAL site.

It's the site Vic - I put in a tech notice to HAL this afternoon, so we'll see what kinda response I get when I get home to check e-mail...

I sent the tech dudes an email too.

Got one of those canned replies ..... I'll forward it to you.
That way, you'll get the response in less than 72 hours.

Yep - no response last nite...

If we had that kind of response on our corporate website, heads would be rolling...

No joy here, either, on getting price/availability. I've spoken with my TA who is having problems getting info off the web as well. She said she'd call HAL and see what was being offered.

I'm starting to wonder if Seattle knows about that yet.Getting very tempted to call the HAL res dept, and tell them thier website is broken.

CAT "D" - $1649 + 284.77 tx
CAT "E" - $1549 + 284.77 tx

Single occ= "D" $2489
"E" $2329

$600 deposit

Think I'll wait til Oct 2006! LOL

Yeah - they're still quoting brochure rates...
(and nobody ever pays the brochure rate anymore - even the QM2 Inaugural brochure had discount rates right there in the brochure...)

You have to look under Caribbean itineraries and select a month Feb 2006 or later...

I've had the same problems as you all also. I've been anxiously awaiting the pricing to come out. Wish HAL would get their act together and get this stuff posted like the other cruise lines!

IF the prices are really that high, forget it! I'll book a cruise to Tahiti instead! Hope that's not an accurate price or we'll be looking elsewhere!
