A couple of questions from a first timer.

Just how difficult is it to get a sun lounger on the Celebration without resorting to dawn raids with beach towels?

Another question concerning excursions. From what I can gather the excursion to Cairo runs from Port Said and the next day Israel from Ashdod. Can anyone with experience confirm this as I wonder just how tired we may be at the end of the second trip?
Many thanks

A lot depends on what excursions are running on eachday. Certainly on sea days it was difficult to get one after about nine ,in a nice position, when we went ,although the attendants will remove belongings if a bed is left unattended for more than about 45mins and quite rightly so. On days with popular trips ie Cairo if you stay on board you will pretty much have the ship to yourself. On the Red Sea trip this year there were at least three days when over 950 passengers were off ship for more than 12 hours, it was like the Mary Celeste!:D

just got back from my 1st cruise, on the celebration my mrs and myself really had a great time. and have already booked for next year. we will be doing egypt and the holy land,we didn,t have any problems getting sun beds in the morning, but there are a few who like to get out early and get the best spots ,on one occasion there were 4 beds with towels on at 9.00 the 4 persons turned up at 1.00 picked there towels up and walked away.did not even sit down,I was about to say something nasty, but my wife stopped me.
have a great time

We did these two trips, and we were absolutely knackered at the end of them. Probably it was because the police escort in Israel were on a 'work to rule' with the speed they were going, so we were on the coach much longer than usual.

I must say that even though all the coaches that had gone on tours that day arrived altogether because of that, but the ship couldn't have been more accommodating. We had a lovely welcome when we got back, with hot towels, drinks etc.
