Hi, this is my first post. I thank you all for the great posts, advice and pictures I have had a chance to enjoy. My fiance and I are going on a 4 day cruise (our first) on Feb 8 on the Zui. I've been checking the Hal website to see if our trip is sold out. Three weeks ago, all the cabins except the inside ones were sold out. Today, however, I checked again and all are sold out except for the S suite and the price is approx. $390 lower than the SS suite. Is this possible? If true, will HAL let us have the S suite (we are currently booked for a SS suite).

Sounds like someone cancelled a suite and they now have one available. They are willing to let it go at a bargain price to get the sellout (probably because they already have received at least most of one payment for it as it is in the penalty time frame). Call your TA and see -- if no one else has noticed it you may get lucky.

Because this is our first time, I didn't know if this might just be a "mistake" and sometimes happens? Thanks! I will definitely call!

To be on the safe side, print out the web page with the pricing. It sometimes helps the TA when they call HAL.

Is theprice on the SS the current one on the web site or what you paid?
If the SS is sold out on the web site, the price listed does not include the discount and will be more than the ones that aren't sold out. Check the site as if you were booking and see what discount, if any, shows for the SS.
If as you say the S is really cheaper then go for it.
PS I just checked the HAL site. The S lists for 1164, the SS for 1560. But the S shows a 51% discount and the SS no discount as it is sold out. Therefore I am assuming that before the SS sold out the price 1560 less a 50% discount would have been about 780.
hope this helps.

Since my TA office is closed, I will call HAL and see if the S room that is available can be switched (if it is a better room). Thanks again for all the help! By the way, when I called HAL a few weeks ago, I was told that we had reservations in the Pinnacle the first night. We have since received our travel docs and the reservation for the Pinnacle is not noted in them. Is this usual? Thanks again! We are so excited - only three more weeks!
