double check air fares

I was looking to book a flight yesterday and went to United's site as I usually fly them. After finding the flights i wanted, I checked Orbitz and found the same flights as a Continental code share for $40 less. United wouldn't honor that fare but it taught me to double check fares in the future.

I think it's kind of silly to book any flight without checking something like Expedia first. The choices and savings can be appreciable.

Also check round trip airfare,. Sometimes its cheeper than one way!

Vice versa also. I've combined two one way fares, and the total was cheaper than a round trip to FLL.
