Hello!

I was wondering if someone would be kind to tell me all about the suite perks for S and PS cabins aboard Vista class ships. I have heard of a Suite Buffet what is that and when is it? I heard of finger food in the afternoon at the Neptune Lounge is that correct and I think I heard you can order for them to come to your room? I just want to know the perks of suites because my fiancees and I will be getting married May 06 and want to sail on the Noordam or Westerdam or the Big "O"!

Thank you,

Paul:)

If you have a recent Caribbean brochure all the Suite perks are listed on
page 64.

I think if you do a search here under Neptune Lounge or Suite Perks you'll find everything you want to know.

I wasn't on a Vista ship, but I described the suite perks in my Zaandam review.

The "S" suite is a little larger on the "S" class, with I think more storage space.
Not that you'd need it but it comfortablely accomodates 4 people. There is an extra separate shower stall on Vista and double sinks.

Umbrellas and binoculars are provided. Priority tendering and disembarkation. A suite line on check-in and invitations will be in your cabin for all suite events. We had a cocktail party and a luncheon in the Pinnacle grill also.

We had a wine and cheese party arranged by our concierge at no charge, but we provided our own wine. The ship provided the table service, hot and cold hors d'ouerves, breads, fruit etc. for 10 people.

We received parchment souvenir menus daily in our cabin, they arrived around noon. You can arrange things by phone or in the Neptune Lounge.
We never had anyone tell us "no" to anything we asked for. Just remember to ask, if you don't, no one will offer the extras they provide beyond the published amenities.

Suite service is really wonderful.

We have traveled on the Zuiderdam twice and attended the Suite luncheon hosted by the Captain. They offer a variety of very tasty hors d'oeuvres, caviar and huge shrimp included. Champagne and bloody mary's were being served as you walk in the door. I saw others requesting different drinks and it looked as if those requests were being honored free of charge. The luncheon only lasts about one hour and is very pleasant. I would suggest if you do not anything planned at that time to try and attend. For us, it was the second sea day.

The Neptune Lounge serves appetizer type foods throughout the day along with coffee, tea, punch and other assorted drinks. If you would like appetizers sent to your room in the afternoon you can request that through the concierge in the Lounge. We do love the S Category and feel very fortunate to have sailed in these rooms. A very pampered trip which we hope to encounter again. Best beds on any ship that we have sailed. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO FOR IT! But if you do, nothing less will live up to it. We will be on the big "o" in two weeks and yes an "S"

Let's not forget, complimentary pressing and dry cleaning service, priority tendering, priority embrarkation and disembarkation. Also, afternoon tea served in the suite, full breakfast menu available for room service breakfast. The Concierge will arrange for your Pinnacle reservations and do anything that the Front Office would normally do for you. You will find a library in the Neptune Lounge where you will find books, magazines and games. You can arrange for your in suite movies through the Concierge. You can also arrainge your shore excursions. The lounge is also a comfortable sitting room with a large flat screen TV.

As an added perk, the Shore Excursion Ambassader may come up to the Neptune Lounge for a private session with Suite passangers. On our Caribbean cruises, she brought some spectacular jewelery with her and we all got to try the pieces on. Lot's of fun!!

One perk we used every day, was we asked for an empty coffee pot with our breakfast, as well as the cups, etc. We then filled the pot with the coffee from the Neptune Lounge. It was fantastic!

We seem to discover more and more services each time we take a cruise. Once we bought someone a birthday gift and the Concierge provided wrapping paper and ribbon. This past cruise, the airline broke my wheelchair and the Concierge arranged to have it welded. Amazing! You never know what will possibly be available for you. That is what concierge service is all about.

Enjoy the Sweet Suite Life and Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

Linda :)

Ryansmemom did a wonderful job of listing the Suite perks, and I would just like to add one additional perk. You can also order room service from the full dinner menu. We so enjoy the "suite" life, and the Concierge's are wonderful.

We have booked a Eurpean cruise on the Rotterdam 6-8-05 and because it will be my Mother, sister and myself cruising we all decided that a suite would be the best size cabin, especially since we didn't want anyone of us to be alone. With that said, the question I have is about the Neptune Lounge. My Mother, A.K.A. as the "Night Stalker", has a hard time sleeping and can anyone tell me if the Neptune Lounge stays OPEN 24 hours??? We were hoping, if she couldn't sleep, that she could go in there and read or watch a movie.
We are so excited about having booked the suite because last summer we went to Alaska with three in a veranda cabin on the Oosterdam and we were soooo cramped that we knew that we needed more space.

Thanks

How do you order the full breakfast menu in your suite? I want to enjoy as much as I can in my S suite this summer. If eggs benedict are on the breakfast menu that day, can you order it for your cabin?
