Ann: did you know that you can edit a post up to 20 minutes after you post?
If you post a message and after its on here and you see that you want to add something or change a misspelled word...click on the edit button. You wills ee the edit button for 20 minutes--after that its gone.

Thanks. I found the edit button yesterday and used it in another thread, but I could not figure out how to delete my message. Is this possible?
By the way, we seem to be communicating on about 5 different threads. I guess the newsgroups are a very small world.

Thanks Serene56 for the link, but after following the instructions, all that comes up is the code and not the clock. What am I doing wrong? I note that in my options, the HTML is off, could this be the problem and how do I go about turning it on?
serene56
September 2nd, 2005, 02:47 PM
generate the UBB Code instead of the HTML one.
When you do get it copied leave it there so I can see what the problem is.
Lilitchka
September 2nd, 2005, 03:21 PM
I tried using both HTmL and the other codes, and they both come up the same. I n otice that the HTML was turned ON now when I edited my options. I can't for the life of me figure out why the hour, etc. doesn't show. I had used it before and never had trouble.
Lilitchka
September 2nd, 2005, 03:41 PM
I think the problem is that the IMG is turned on as well as the HTML. Before, the HTML was off and now it is on. But the IMG seems to take precedence over the HTML so that the code shows Cruise Critic Message Board. Sheesh! this is the most exasperating thing I've come across. I'm thoroughly confused. Think I'll give up.

As you can see, I'm having problems. I have a MAC, does that make a difference? I used the clock before, but didn't keep my step-by-step instructions, so now am at a loss again. I have tried both the UBB and the HTML and they both look like gibberish. I MUST be missing a step or two. Thanks for any help
