This afternoon I called my TA because because I was helping one of my fellow managers at work to book the Westerdam the week before us when my TA says, "Oh BTW on Friday I got a fax from HAL stating you are getting an additional ship board credit for your CCL Stock, it shows a total of $100.00 per person. " I was fearing that we would not get this additional $100.00 since we were already receiving the $50.00 per person Mariner Ship Board credit because we booked during a Mariner Promotion. The other thing she said was she guessed that we could possibly get our Docs by the end of this week or by the end of next week. So that means not only will I be doing the DOC Dance but I will be doing the Extra Money Dance.:D

That is great Lisa!

A question for you....are both of your names on the stock certificate? The reason I ask is because HAL only granted us the $100 credit for my husband, not for me.:o I wondered if this was because of the way we hold the stock (in his name as trustee for tax purposes). Thanks in advance for your response!

I am not Lisa but I can answer this. The stock credit is per cabin. Hal ususally splits it in your documents, so if the credit is 100 , you get 50, he gets 50.

The way I read the post was they each got 100, 50 for the Mariner discount and 50 for the stock.

You lucked out. Someone slipped up and allowed both credits. :)

Yes, DH and I are both on the Stock Certificate. My TA said that she has seen several get the Stock credit along with the Mariner Credit before.

Way to go Lisa! That's awesome.... :D

How many shares do you need to have before you get the credit?

Thanks Laura, You need to own 100 shares. I bought in this past fall when the price per share was a little lower. I thought the investment was a good one with knowing we will be doing a lot of cruising.:)

Lisa, good news! I know you were concerned about the credit and I'm so glad you got it. It's only right that you should have both. Clearly the double credit is not a hard and fast rulehttp://boards2.cruisecritic.com/images/smilies/smile.gif .

I so want to pick up this stock. Have to talk DH into it. But it would have to be "instead of" rather than "in addition to" and he's so partical to the stocks we have.

I'm so jealous of all the pics. I still can't do it. I tried it Lisa's way and it wouldn't take it.http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/clip_art/gstres/badday/bad-crying

Thanks Lisa - I thought it was 100 shares... I am going to really watch it so if the price drops I can get them.
