Boy did this give me a start. I went to look around and couldn't find our sailing anywhere - Rotterdam, Sept. 24, 2005, Venice to Venice. Being a relatively inexperienced cruiser (2 and they were 12 & 6 years ago and much closer to home) I had a bit of a panic that they pulled it. Obviously it doesn't take much to get me going! I called HAL as I figured that's what my TA would have to do anyway. Customer service guy told me that it's no longer available for booking! Glad I got ours when I did, which at the time (Nov.) seemed incredibly early.
BTW, can't tell everyone how very helpful I find all this info on these boards - I'm an info addict and find planning the trip very interesting. Thanks to all who have taken the time to post their experiences and tips.:)

Goodness! That does seem early to have it booked. Our August sailing on the Prinsendam still has 4 categories showinig as available ... plus the penthouse. (I'm sure we'll get upgraded into it!) :D

..... Customer service guy told me that it's no longer available for booking! ...
I would be very suspicious that a large group of one kind or another had booked all the available cabins. If it were me I would have my TA get all the details.

Suddenly 'not available for booking' 8 months before sailing? Very different from a ship selling out in a normal amount of time before sail date and categories slowly closing out. I'd want to know more.

I agree with Peaches. I'd find out post-haste what is going on. If your TA will not do it for you, get on with someone with HAL who will give you the details.

It may not be a problem, but on the other hand, you might find yourself sharing the ship with a large group with whom you might not be compatable.

I visited the Holland web site and I found many available cabins. This would have been a major concern for me that it had been withdrawn, but all is good. My visit was at 5:54 am.jan 20th mountain time. Happy sailing

I just re-checked HAL's site this morning and the ship has re-appeared! Don't know what they're doing but suspect that last night I got a quick answer without any research. A bit disconcerting. Perhaps my call made them check?
Thanks for the help.
