Ten of us will traveling aboard the Ms. Oosterdam in October to Mexico. We all have catagory S suites on the Rotterdam Deck and of course are so excitied about this upcoming cruise. Can anyone tell me if there are tables of 10's available in the main dinning room, so we can all be seated together? Any suggestions or information would really be appreciate. Thanks for your time. Yes, there are tables that can be 8-tops or 10. Have your TA show you a diagram of the Vista ships' dining room and she can make a request for your group.
We were at Table #89 on the Upper Level of the Oosterdam and it was originally set for 10 (though one couple never showed and it became a table for 8 after several nights of 2 empty seats).

Thanks Peaches for your information. We will have a couple of "Georgia Peaches" sailing with us on this cruise. Savannah is their home town. Our group of friends will represent Georgia, Arizonia and California, some of the most beautiful States in the US. Thanks again Peaches.

We also were at table #89 on the Westerdam (same as Oosterdam) and there were only 9 of us, but it was set for 10.

How was the location of that table (89)? Since I'm having the fun of taking care of the little details on this cruise for everyone, I'm trying to get as much useful information as I can. Thanks for your help.

The location was great. In fact we requested it specifically when we booked just because of the location- center of the aft area of the Upper Level between the open circle looking down on the Lower Level and the center aft windows.
Definetely ask your TA to mail or fax you a diagram of the dining room, both levels. You might see a table you like better, but I highly recommend #89 and I am fussy (read that anal) about location! :D

It should be noted that if you request that table, you will be dining at either 5:45 or 8:00 as those are the dining times for upper level.
You may request the time that suits you best.

You can request a table but they may not give it to you. We requested a table near the upper dining room aft windows (Zui) and ended up at table 25 - mid starboard side. It was a rectangular table for 10. The table was fine but seems a little tight for the wait staff to serve between us and the tables next to us! I would not choose this location if I had a choice!

Peaches thank for the suggestion. I will contact my TA tomorrow and put in a request for table 89, sounds like it's just what we will enjoy.

Karen, thanks for the warning. I really would prefer a round table of 10.

Shirley,
Table 89 looks like it's just what you are looking for. Just so you know, there are 2 other tables right next to 89 that are also oval shaped tables for 10. These are table 91 & table D in case you want to mention 3 possible table numbers when making your request. I am looking at the seating diagram I picked up on our last Oosterdam cruise. Good luck with your request.

Lynn, thanks for the additional tables #'s, I'm sure it will make it easier for our TA. I just Love this site, not only have I received great suggestions, but it makes planning a cruise so much fun. We will be sailing on the Oosterdam, 10/22/05 to Mexico. Anyone else sailing at the same time?
