Ben,

Great pictures! We will be getting on board the "Westerdam" on August 14th! Spending 3-days pre-cruise in Rotterdam before boarding and can't wait to get going. How's the weather over there?? :)

At least we know where she is and what she will be doing for the next months until she relocates to Ft. Lauderdale.
Thanks for the report, the pictures and the video

Some tips fore you when in Rotterdam. Historic HAL attractions, SS ROTTERDAM. From August 1 till August 31 all public rooms will be open to the public. After August 31 the rooms will be open or closed to the pubic depending on which room is booked which one not.
Hotel New York the former HQ of Holland America Line, since the opening a hot spot in Rotterdam.

Gouda, The Hague, Delft are within 30 minutes with the train and Amsterdam within a hour.

The weather on this moment around 20 degree Celsius and some rain. But beware August cane be hot over 30 degree Celsius.

Have a nice stay in Rotterdam, Ben.

Ben,

Thanks so much for the information. We will be at the Rotterdam Hilton along with another couple doing the cruise with us. Great to hear about the SS Rotterdam, and we did not know about the Hotel New York, but will put it on our list. We are already planning on visiting the Hague and Delft - hope to have time for Gouda as well. The other couple wants to do some sort of a canal/boat excursion, but she is taking care of the particulars, so I don't know much about it....yet! :)

Glad to hear about the nice weather - we are having the same temps here in Louisiana, so we will be well prepared for the heat.

We are looking forward to experiencing a taste of your wonderful country.

Many thanks,

Nancy
