Just received an updated statement from our travel agent regarding our November 13-22nd Spirit cruise Bridgetown to Ft. Lauderdale and noted a "hotel/land package" charge of $39.00 per person. We took air deviation into BGI a day early so were expecting to do our own transfer from hotel to the ship on embarkation day but thought transfers were included on debarkation.

Asked our agent for clarification on the charge and she confirmed this "hotel/land package" charge was for the pier/FLL airport transfer. This seems to be an exorbitant charge for what amounts to a $10-15.00 cab ride but thought I'd double check to see what others' experiences have been regarding transfers. For the difference in price, I could hire a limousine!

If you're using SS air and just doing an air deviation the transfer should be included on debarkation. Sounds to me like your TA screwed up.

I would followup with your TA on this. You paid more to do an Air Deviation. As such I would not think you would have to pay on the disembarkation end of the cruise.

Thanks Doug - thought it might have been a mistake on somebody's part, although I'm not sure why it would appear on the Silversea confirmation in the first place. She's looking into it further.

Just to follow up on this - my agent checked with Silversea and they have corrected their invoicing error. Transfers on our debarkation date ARE included as part of the "free air" package - which only makes sense.
