I am struggling to decide on the best cruise for our family. We are limited to a one week period (August 21st). DH and I are in the 40/50 age bracket and our two college aged kids are 19 and 21. DD and I took a W. Caribbean cruise last June on the Zuiderdam. We very much enjoyed it and would like to visit the Caribbean again with the whole family.

We are not big partiers, prefering activities to drinking, although we might enjoy an occasional tropical drink. My husband has a history of seasickness and has never been on a cruise so I am looking for an itinerary less likely to be affected by stormy weather (given that we are limited to that one week!).

I am considering the Carnival Miracle (Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Belize, least expensive), the Carnival Valor (Belize, Roatan, Grand Cayman, Cozumel), the Carnival Conquest (Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel), RC Adventure of the Seas (San Juan, Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, most expensive due to airfare), and HAL Zuiderdam (Half Moon, St. Thomas, Tortola, Nassau, sails a day earlier than we can really go forcing a possible red-eye flight)

Will we be happy on Carnival? We can get an interesting itinerary and afford a balcony on Carnival, but I am concerned about the party boat reputation.
What are the balconies like? too tiny? just right?

Any advice you can give would be very much appreciated.
