There is a lovely small sheltered beach with beautiful sand about 15 minutes walk from the terminal, you turn left past the supermarket, just ask anyone, it is lovely you walk down to it and it is a sheltered cove with showers, small cafe.

Palma is a lovely city. If you have time, have a walk into the centre and/or visit the cathedral as well as having your paddle.

I believe this is Cala Major. We were advised by a local not to use the beaches to the right of the terminal i.e. past the Cathedral onwards due to the pollution from the port. Instead walk to Cala Major - left out of the port or better still walk to the seafront road, cross over & catch a bus. We caught the 106 (although believe 104 or 105 will do) this passes through Cala Major, Portals Nous & onto Palma Nova and Magaluf. We paid $17 euros for 6 of us to get to Palma Nova last week, the beach was almost deserted & was a flat walk across the road from where the bus stopped. Buses were very frequent & we easily caught one back at the end of the day.
