For my information. Since we dock at 8am. does anyone know what time we debark from the ship. I need to know so somebody can pick us up from the ship. Also can we stay in our room until its time to get off the ship?

You didn't mention which ship, which port.
If your last port was a U.S. port you would (usually) not have to do Immigration upon arrival at your disembarkation port.
If your last port was non U.S., all pax will have to do Immigration inspection.
In FLL, they usually do it as pax leave the ship, in the terminal.
Other times we have seen it done on board and no one leaves until everyone clears.
Most HAL ships are now permitting pax to remain in the cabins until their disembark number/letter is called.
You can never know for positively sure what time you will be leaving the ship. The ship can come in late; there can be unforeseen delays. Odds are good though, if the ship pulls in by 8:00, the first pax will be disembarking by 9:00......but you can never be sure. Luggage needs to be unloaded and the 'sniff dogs' have to check it all. Takes a bit of time to get all that luggage off the ship and into the piles we find in the terminals.
