Progresso/Merida with a 1 yr old

Hello everyone,

We are traveling to Progresso next month and have read good things about Merida and was thinking about going however we are traveling with a one year old. Is there anything to do in Progresso/ Merida that is fit for a one year old or should we look at this for a future trip?

It was pointed out to me that there is a zoo/park close to merida that would be fun for the kids :)
