What is the status of the Club HAL upgrades on Statendam

My wife and I will be cruising to Hawaii in March with my pre-teen kids. I was just wondering if anyone knew if the new Club HAL upgrades have been added on yet. The way I understand it, the Statendam is supposed to be getting a video game room and other upgrades for the kids.

We previously sailed on the Veendam two years ago with the kids and, although the kids enjoyed themselves, there was a limitted amount of things for them to do.

Does anyone know what the Statendam has to offer for kids, and if they will be upgrading the Club HAL before March/05?

Statendam doesn't go into drydock until May '05, so, sorry, upgrades will not be completed before you board the ship. Enjoy Hawaii - we loved that cruise.

Hi there, I have just come off the statendam with my 15 year old son. It is true Dry Dock will be when the club hal goes in. But I thought they announced it was going in dry dock in April. But I could of heard wrong. As you board they will ask your kids their ages and then give them a little book thing with an agenda of what they have going on during the day for those age groups. and club hal staff members supervise all activities. My son loved the cruise and loved Hawaii. but they really need to improve on activities for the 13-17 age group. He enjoyed the other teens on board,and can't wait to go on another cruise.
