Booked on Sept 19th Ryndham for 4 night Vancouver to San Diego. Does anyone know if there will be a formal night on this cruise? Have seen other posts saying probably not. Do not want to pack my tux etc for no use. First time on HAL but many many cruises on other lines. Mostly Celebrity and RCCL.:)

Our docs have shown the number of formal and 'smart casual' nights. Don't yours?

I would couint on -- this 4 day cruise is really part of a longer repositioning cruise as the Ryndam is going from Alaska to Tampa.

Got my question answered. One formal night and can you believe it it the first night. Never heard of that before.:(

Don't you mean the first night that you are at sea?
We have never had a formal night the night we embark on a cruise. We rarely get luggage until just at dinner time.
