What happened to Carribean cruise line? Does the Celebration Cruise line go to Nassau Bahamas? I am really interested in going to Nassau. Thanks.

Celebration Cruise Line owns the bahamas celebration cruise ship. Caribbean cruise line is a company that gives away a free 2 night cruise on that cruise ship. (bahamas celebration) You have to pay port taxes and really it is just a marketing tactic so they can offer you an upsell package. If you accept the upsell vacation that Caribbean CL offers, you have to do a time share tour. No matter which company you use, you will end up on the same cruise ship. That ship used to go to Nassau, but doesn't anymore. It goes to Grand Bahama Island, better known as Freeport.

You live in South Carolina........Drive down to Port Canaveral and catch the Monarch of the Seas to Nassau and Coco Cay......You could do a 3 or 4 nigher instead of 2 on a bigger and better ship for sometimes LESS than it cost once you pay the "upsell" price on the Bahamas Celebration

Another option; Check out 3 and 4 cruises to Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay on the Norwegian Sky for (on most cruises) less money that Royal Caribbean's Monarch. Besides being less costly, she is bigger and younger than Monarch or Majesty of the seas. Both Majesty and NCL Sky go out of Miami which is 4 hours further south than Monarch.

You can also check out Carnival Sensation out of Port Canaveral
and Carnival Imagination out of Miami,
large cabins, great food

really any of the cruises other than "Celebration" are a better deal

Carnival, Royal, NCL....all "real" cruiselines, better food, nicer cabins,

also better islands....Nassau is nicer than Freeport IMHO

Go on a major cruise line for the same or less...this boat is junk and you will not be happy. Those that "claim" how great it is...I have to wonder???

I've been on it, and had a "great time". I wouldn't say the SHIP was GREAT, but I went on it with the attitude of "you get what you pay for" and thoroughly enjoyed myself for a cheap weekend. I also live in the West Palm area, so there was no travelling involved. I might have been disappointed if I planned for a "big trip" and got this.

It all depends on what you're expecting, and willing to go with.

DH and I went on it. We bought a gift card from Sam's Club. It was $99 total not each. It was a deal :D If i saw them again, I'd buy a million, that's a cheap way to get away.

I've been on the Bahamas Celebration and it's not a bad ship. You can enjoy yourself on this ship, it has stabilizers, there's the Kids Of The Caribbean Water Park, dining room is very nice, The Crystal Dining Room is the Traditional dining venue, while The Cove is the Specialty Dining venue, Rio's Restaurant, and an Italian Trattoria. There is the Wynmore Casino, a Disco, Main Theater, Starlight Balcony Lounge. The Spa is beautiful, rivals what you see on the major cruise lines, though smaller. The pool is small, buffet is poolside and lots of lounge chairs to suntan on the way over to Freeport. There is also an Internet Cafe, Ice Cream shop for the kids, etc.

The ship used to sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, but moved to the Port Of Palm Beach in April, 2010 and sails to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island. It's a 2 night cruise. You can combine your cruise with hotel stays on the island. It replaced the 1950's Regal Princess which used to sail from Ft Lauderdale to Nassau.

Here are some pictures of the ship.
