How many?

I have 2 questions. How many formal nights on a 12 day cruise? And the other question is if you are sailing on the Veendam on Nov. 26 So. America cruise have you joined the Veendam Roll Call? If you haven't it would be nice if you would join the others at this roll call.

We were on a 12 day cruise last year and had 3 formal nights (2 per week).

You should have 3 formal nights -- it all depends on how port intensive your cruise is.

There's a possibility of four formal nights, if you have several sea days.
Your documents will tell you the number---when you are finally able to access them.

Your documents will tell you the number---when you are finally able to access them. And then sometimes you get fewer than what the docs say. On a 14-day we were told four and got three. :)

We had four on our 12-day a couple of years ago. RuthC is right, the sea days will probably dictate if it's three or four and our sea days apparently fell fairly evenly spaced so it worked for that cruise.

Thanks for the information. I am going to plan on 3 formal nights and can now plan what I will need to pack.
