I just booked my second cruise a few days ago. Tonight I'm flicking through the tv channels and come across the new Poseidon film, just at the very moment the cruise ship flips over and end upside down!
Now that's just completely ridiculous isn't it? Bomb or rogue wave, whatever, that couldn't happen, could it

no worries, with the engineering equipment they have and the excellent HAL captains, you are fine. Admittedly, i was a bit worried on my first transatlantic, but now..............it can come too soon. :) Enjoy your cruise - there was never a cruise like the Poseiden movie. The titanic was a different story and would never happen again.

I do worry about rough seas and getting sick but the post was a conversation piece really :) It's just typical though, every time I book a long haul flight there tends to be crashes everytime I turn on the news. Or disaster movies!

Never... and the Titanic was 'unsinkable' too. ;)

God looked at His work after he created earth and realized Scotland lack a few things, like heat.:( So He gaave them a recipe for a wonderful beverage to warm the body and soul. :):D
Thinking that might not be enough, He also gave them luck to survive any ship disaster, so be happy! :D

lol, well I'll take that luck thank you and you're welcome to my share of our 'wonderful beverage', of course you mean Irn Bru!
Still, I'm glad I wasn't on the Prisendam the other night off the coast of Scotland by the sound of things :)

In an odd sort of way it was the original 1972 "The Poseidon Adventure" - while still a kid - that got me interested in ocean liners and cruise ships. And, of course, we had The Love Boat on TV for many years thereafter. In any event, its all Hollywood fantasy. I go on board awaiting a fantastic voyage and with the intent to enjoy myself. Chances are you'll likely die of old age long before this movie ever actually becoming real.

That's nothing! We had our very first cruise ever on the Volendam to Alaska 3 yrs. ago. The in-room movie the night before our private whale watch in Icy Strait Point was......wait for it....."Jaws":p
