Has anyone ever done the Segway tours in San Juan, PR? I was looking at their website http://www.segwaytourspr.com/index.html and can not decide if the 45 minute tour is enough or is the 2 hour tour better.

I have no idea where this would be offered as Downtown San Juan where the Cruise Ships Dock are all Cobblestones and uneven streets and sidewalks PLUS LOTS and LOTS of HILLS....

I did this tour on my San Juan stop in 2008.
I booked the two hour tour and was so glad that I did.
The Maasdam was the only ship in port that day and on my noon tour, I was the only cruise guest. The other two people with me were staying in San Juan for a few days.
The shop is about a five minute walk from where the ship dock. The staff was very helpful. None of us had ever been on a Segway and prior to leaving on our tour, we were given a very detail verbal and hands on lesson. We practice driving, stopping, turning, etc before leaving the shop area.
Don't worry, It feels funny at first, but it was very easy and soon became fun!
Now I'm a fluffy gal and was worried about driving and my weight, but it was no issue.
We toured at a nice pace with many stops for photo ops. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all the stops.
We toured Fort San Felipe del Morro. That segway came in very handy because it's a very long walkway to the fort entrance. It was rather warm that day in San Juan and we got alot of envious looks as we sped past people. Our guide also became our tour guide in the fort and gave great insight (we left the Segways locked near the fort entrance and the fort admission was included in the tour price).
I feel that with the 45 minute tour you will miss out on alot. The Segway help you cover alot of area and the guide really knew her stuff.
I would encourage you to take this tour. I know if I ever head back to San Juan, I would do this tour again in a heartbeat.
Any more questions, just ask!!

Definitely, the two hour tour. Jose and his wife, Natalya, are both great at making you feel very comfortable in a very short period of time. Either one will deliver a first class experience. Cobblestones, hills, traffic...you will get used to it very quickly. You will have a ball.

Thumbs up on Natalya!
I was a little worried about that small hill we had to drive up. But Natalya was right next to me the whole time encouraging me!
I had some friends that did the tour with Jose prior to their cruise. They also rave about how Jose made them pros in no time and they had a blast!

We did the 2-hour tour last December. It was great - one of the better excursions. Natalya was a great guide. Teaching us how to ride the Segway was well done. Only problem is that you have to remember to move your feet a little - you forget that you're just standing and your feet can really start to hurt!
All that airlinkDiva has said is true.
