We're considering taking the Caves and Jungles of Belize Excursion. Has anyone taken this excursion???? What I would like to know about is the wooden suspension bridge that is made mention of. I have an extreme fear of falling ... not heights ... so I would like to know if this is a bridge that one could easily fall off of without putting some real effort into doing so??? :o

You may get a quicker answer on Cruise Critics Ports Of Call page (Carribean)...Belize.

As we will be sailing to Belize in December I wonder how Belize faired with Hurricane Karl?

The last time we were going to Belize we inquired about this excursion. The shore excursion people told us that the suspension bridge is very wobbly -- recommended only for people who are sure footed -- wear good gripping shoes -- and people not afraid of heights.

I don't fear heights -- but my knees could never stand the swaying of the bridge.

Well that pretty much answers it for me ... especially if it's going to be swaying. Let's just say if I was to take this excursion I would be very unforgetable to anyone else fortunate enough to be in the same group. I will take it off the bucket list.
