Is there an Ipod dock or CD only?
Also is there a DVD player? I think I read somewhere there was a DVD library but not sure if it was Amsterdam last year or Oosterdam for upcoming cruise

Yes the Penthouse has a sterio system -- there is a DVD player -- I didn't pay any attention about a CD -- we rarely turn on the TV's. No Ipod dock.

Yes, there is a CD player as we used it last year. Figuring out the speaker system is a little tricky.

I don't recall about a docking station for the iPod - I want to say no but I'm not 100% sure.

HAL only talks about iPod docks being in the Spa cabins (suites or lower), but it would seem a pretty small thing to add to the PH. Maybe your steward can get you one if it's not already there.

no dock, but the Eurodam had a cable that that connected my Ipod to the sound system. Can't remember about Noordam, but you could probably get at least the cable from some where.... I hope.

Yes will write a review upon return :) but our journey/voyage will be with twin 3 year olds & a 7 yr old-- so likely to be a slightly different adventure than most. But they are quite adorable in their 3 tuxedos!
Wish us as relaxing of a cruise/vacation it can be ;) :D
5 more days til we fly out.
Friends are going to join us aboard ship in Oregon--can't wait to see them

Will just plan for CD's- not even sure if we will listen to them-- so definitely don't need to bother with having people search for cables. With the twins just happy to sit & relax-- give or take the music .......We accomplished the potty training task last month-- so they I'm sure will love Club HAL-- they were sad last year when they couldn't stay with Big Brother!

There was a DVD library behind the Front Desk on Westerdam. Assume they had a list of what is available. EM

Sure-- I tried for 4 months to get another family member to come along with us since we had to book 2 staterooms-- but no one could get away for the 2 weeks:D $250 tax & service fees & still couldn't convince anyone else to come along-- but did get brother & SIL to at least come for the 1st week when we initially booked

You can get CD's from the concierge in Neptune Lounge. She'll have a full list and it is lengthy. :)

You have your own private book for the cd library. No need to go to the Neptune, just pick up the phone and they will have your selection at you door before you can hang up the phone.

The book is on the desk along with the "How to work the lights, the sound system, the automatic drapes, both hot tubs, and the worlds best shower" manual. However, there is not a manual for the mircowave, coffee maker and blender.

With the right iPod cable you can connect it, or with your own dock with RCA jacks output.

............ However, there is not a manual for the mircowave, coffee maker and blender.

Because: that is the bailiwick of your Cabin Steward or Room Service, they will do anything/everything for you ;) ;)
(actually, they are so self explanatory they don't deed manuals)
