Does anyone know when the schedules become available from HAL for Baltic 2006 cruises.
We are planning a trip probably in Aug/Sept 2006 and want to be sure we get good choice of cabin etc also lots of research to do for this one once a date is settled.
Any thoughts on Baltic cruises would be helpful especially the visit to St Petersberg. I am leaning towards booking a tour with Red October as I hear they are excellent and well organised. Just can't wait to get going on the planning even though it is a long time off. Am I crazy or what????

Happy cruising.

Red October, absolutely.

Two years ago I spent two glorious days and one evening with them. There were only two of us on our van, which made it more expensive, but it was still well-worth the money.

You get a much more personalized tour, more attention, get to cut to the head of some very long lines, and can actually see what is being described as you hear the description! I believe I saw everything on all HAL's shore excursions.
It's exhausting, but if you have only two days in St. Petersburg make the most of them with Red October.

One thought on a Baltic trip.

Prinsendam might not be in fleet in 2006 (rumored she if for sail).

A trip through the Kiel Canal is a real pleasure, and many ships are too large for the transit. The Kiel is in a beautiful part of Germany.

We were going to taken Prinsendam to the Baltic in 2005, but found a "better price" on Oceania'a Regatta, another small ship. (One of the former Renaissance ships)

Check for the link on the 2006 cruise planner post to see what is listed for 2006. This schedule is not cut in stone as it has changed since it came out 2 weeks ago, but you can at least look at it.
