Do passengers in SS cabins get the same perks that passengers in S cabins do?

No, SS does not get the Suite Amenities. Only PH and S get the perks- such as priority tendering, use of the Neptune Lounge and Concierge Service, no-charge dry cleaning and laundry, etc.
I really think it is unfair to call the SS category 'suites', as many pax when they book SS assume, rightfully so in my opinion, that they will benefit from the 'suite' perks.

In the new brochures and websites they are also referring to the A and B, etc., categories on the "R" and "S" ships as verandah suites which is confusing a lot of people. This was a bad mistake on HAL's part to rename all those categories - in the past they were refered to as mini-suites and everyone knew what they were getting in their categoy.

Just wanted to clear things up for my parents who booked a SS suite today for the Zuiderdam March 12 sailing. Thanks for the advice.

I agree with Krazy Kruisers that HAL are misinforming the public. One acquaintance of mine said that "of course on HAL all cabins are suites". He sails mainly on Princess and was comparing the prices. I informed him that only the 2 top cabins are actually suites.
