Oct 30, 2011 Eclipse TA Roll Call

Have booked this crossing...my first TA.
Although there is an huge thread on the Celebrity board, thought I would start one here.
Anyone else booked?
Me, I'm in cabin 8101 with a nice large window over looking to bow.:cool:

I wonder if our sailing will have as many family onboard as this years sailng. I have been following their thread.......sounds like a fun group.
Me, I am excited about my first TA.......I figure I will have to save up a lot of money to cover the numerous cocktail gatherings during those many days at sea. One thing for sure....a number of champagne lunches in the main dining room.......like they did on the great Atlantic liners.;)

What level are you in the Captain's club? There are some drinks at the upper end that could soften your bar bill. :)

Altough 3 stars with Hal and Elite with Princess...have yet to reach the upper level on Celebrity.
So far my Celebrity history consists of:
Horizon
Century
Mercury
Summit
Millenium
Solstice.
If you add in next May's Bermuda run on Summit, that will total 7 Celebrity cruises...not enough to reach Elite before boarding Eclipse.
Now if I could include RCI and Azamara...I'd be up there.

Were any of them longer or in a concierge class or higher? You get two credits for wither of those things. Nonetheless, you'll be in the middle range of benefit and that will be nice.

As for the roll call...I am stumped. The RCI crossing seems to have many gay posters....and I thought Celebrity attracted the gay passengers for crossings.
Perhaps there are many that dont post on CC.
I look forward to having dinner in the specialty restaurants with family....it can be so much fun.......

Good point. The itinerary of the Eclipse isn't great...but the ports are all new for me. Besides its the idea of a crossing that is my prime interest. The days at sea...on a classy ship thinking of what it was like decades ago....in the heyday of the big ships.
Now if the crossing turns out to be something I really enjoy...maybe I'll make it an annual event.
If you are in London the night before....maybe we can meet for dinner. I intend to do the London Eye that afternoon and will get my ticket in advance vis their web so I dont have to Que up.

We're traveling with friends so i'll have to see what plans are closer to the date but I'm sure dinner the night before would be fun.
