Will be in Aruba in a week or so..is there a place right near the port that is okay for snorkeling? We are taking a tour that will put us back in Oranjestad around 5:30pm on a Friday, we would like to just hang out after the tour is over on a beach that maybe can offer some light food and clear waters...
suggestions?

Not much beach area right around the cruise port. You would need to take a bus to Eagle Beach or Palm Beach, but they don't have much snorkeling. You could go to Boca Catalina near Palm Beach for snorkeling. I'm not sure when the sun sets when you are going to be there, but I think its around 6:30 so you probably won't have much daylight left after you get back from your excursion.
