HAL NZ/Australia Cruise

We have sailed on Celebrity, Cunard, Princess and Azamara but we are 1st timers on HAL and are booked on the Volendam for the DEC 3rd cruise out of Auckland. I would appreciate any advice on sightseeing trips and any hints to make our cruise wonderful.

One tip: I found tons of information online about 'walking tours' of most of the NZ cities, and Melbourne. They were really fun, affordarble, and we got to meet locals...
