This is one STUPID show. 15 minutes in, I changed the channel. It's supposed to be situated aboard a Cruise ship in the Caribbean. Dialog is horrid, sets are too, and they are depicting the ship as listing WAY too much! :) There's a rich lady at the Captain's Table with a DOG in her arms!!!!!

Never heard of it. But then, I never watch SciFi anyway. Sounds like so many TV shows that don't care for accuracy as much as making big bucks.

The advertising for this show so bad that we didn't tune in. We're aging Trekkies and SciFi fans but not the horror story fans and the ads for this show were just too hokie. On the other hand, I imagine that if they'd gone with the typical cruise the show would have been so boring nobody would have watched. :D I mean, can you imagine a movie about dress codes, smoking, hogging lounge chairs, cutting in line, missed ports, backed up sewage, bad service and so on being entertaining? (Only kidding......if these truly were the only aspects of cruising there'd be no cruise ships, no CruiseCritic, and we'd be here talking about travel trailers.)

I have never heard of the show, of course I stopped watching The Sci Fi network when the took Mystery Science Theater off the air :)
Actually a Sci Fi show about the actual cruise ship goings ons could be kind of cool.
You could have these alien invaders that come to earth and board cruise ships with ray guns and they would vaporize people that hogged deck chairs or wore jeans in the dining room. *LOL*
And then all the other passengers would be very grateful to the aliens for getting rid of the offending passengers until the awful truth is learned that these aliens hold secret meetings in the hot tubs at night while wearing swim diapers and smoking.
(cue Twilight Zone music)
*LOL*

Now you're talkin'!!! Actually, they used to have a show about cruise ship goings-on. It was called "The Love Boat." It might have been a tad hokey ... but at least it didn't do a disservice to cruising. In fact, many would say it put a whole new face on the industry.

I used to love "The Love Boat"
Yea it was a little Hokey, but good fun.
i thought it was amazing that the crew would get so involved with all the passengers personal lives. The played match maker to a fighting couple on board, They would end up adopting some kid that stowed away. *LOL*
A pretty girl would be travelling alone and Doc, Gopher and Issac would practicaly be fist fighting eachother over her. Today with all the rules about crew members hooking up with passengers, that was so funny back then.
I always thought it was amazing that a woman could go on a cruise and be on the same ship as the guy she had an affair with 20 years ago and never told that he was the father of her son. And with the help of Julie, they could all be reunited as one big happy family, by the time they docked in Cabo San Lucas *LOL*

I wonder if I am the only one that can not get the Love Boat theme out of my head for the 1st 6 or 7 hours I am on a ship. Regardless of the line. Joe V.

The SciFi reviews over on Cruise Addicts are devastating, too. Could it be a drama for non-cruisers, but a comedy for veterans? "Speed 2: Cruise Control" was like that. I thought it was real funny and the comments over on C@ were the same. When you know what really happens, these horrid 1/2@ movies become laugh riots.

Ah Vicar! You are bringing back great memories! My little brother and I used to think Gopher was called a "pursuer" (we didn't know what a purser was!) because he was always going after girls! I am LOL thinking of the "ONE" bartender, Isaac... We kids were such avid fans of that show and my parents hated it. :)
