I just saw this on another page - anybody see or hear about this?

Four major cruise lines—Norwegian, Princess, Celebrity and Holland America—won’t be sailing from ports in Florida to and through the Caribbean. All the cruises of those lines that were once operated from Florida to that tropical sea will have been shifted to European waters and other oceans of the world.

As I mentioned in my comment there- HAL already leaves the Caribbean mid to late April anyway, and doesn't come back until late October or early November. I don't see much change.

They can make money in extending the Europe and Alaska seasons, as well as New England. They avoid hurricane season, for the most part.

I should have read others' responses to the original post, most of whom "pooh-poohed" the report. So many it's not the whole truth or at least anything all that new or to be concerned about.

Sorry if that's the case! I'm a newbie and don't know better, so it worried me to think I couldn't take a spring cruise to the Caribbean on HAL. :o
