I cruise 3-4 times a year...mostly on CARNIVAL. We had a 7 day out of Miami on the Carnival Liberty for Oct 9-16. The wife and I said " We're passing right by West Palm, so let's Leave 2 days earlier and check this Bahamas Celebration out". Which is exactly what we did.

We arrived in WP the morning of the 7th. It was an 3 min wait in line to we arrived at the Valet Parking station. They unloaded our luggage and Parked our car for us...never asked for a tip...was VERY polite.

5 min later, we were walking onto the ship...just that fast!!!

Initially we booked a room for $159 ea, but we upgraded to a suite for an additional $150. Which was worth every penny. This boat is NOT what the cry babies on here say it is.

I was more then impressed, the whole 2 days.

The food is every bit of what Carnival serves. The shows verge on being BETTER, The ship itself was very clean and I seen nothing out of place. People on here have complained about the A/C. IT WAS WORKING AT 110% . Almost Too Cold. The ship has a little age to it but it still is a beautiful ship. How someone could complain about this ship is beyond me.

I've read reviews on here about people not liking the way the food was served!!! You have 2 choices for dinning on this ship. The "Fancy" dinning room serves your whole meal at your table. The other dinning room allows you to serve your self(which I preferred), it is still a NO shorts/T-shirt dinning room, While dinning here, waiters come around to tables with various meats (VERY delicious) on swords, and cut you small samples. I liked it. There is also a Italian "Deli" that is a buffet type place that serves pizza, pasta and all kinds of salads...very good also.

I'll say it again...THIS SHIP IS NOT WHAT the CRY BABIES SAY IT IS!!!!

I was not bothered once about any Time Share thing....The so called annoying announcement are no more than any other ship trying to sell you excursions or on board services. The bothersome people offering you drinks is normal on any ship!!!!

I didn't get to see the "SMALL" cabins the people complain about on here but You can always up grade for a small fee.

When we got to the Bahamas, we opted for the "My Lucaya" beach party...only $69 ea. They provided a bus to the resort, which is VERY nice, and it comes with an all you can eat lunch.

The casino (my hangout) was pretty much like any other ship.

Overall, I was VERY impressed and happy with what I received for the money. So was the wife. The ONLY complaint I could possibly have was for the bed, which was hard. Only 2 nights? We dealt with it, no biggie.

If your thinking about this cruise...go for it. If your one of the CRY BABIES that say "Oh, there's a stain on the carpet" or "The elevators are so slow" or "The water is too cold/hot" and my vacation is ruined !!!, Then you'd better not go. This boat is for people looking to have FUN, not for complainers.

I will definitely go again...ASAP.

Thank you for typing this, because I've done this cruise, and I always feel like I'm fighting a losing battle telling people that it's a great little cruise! (I live in WPB, so I'd love to go more often!!!)

I soooooo agree with this statement!

I've done this cruise, and I always feel like I'm fighting a losing battle telling people that it's a great little cruise!

We're not the only ones who think the same thing. If you look at the recent reviews(check the member reviews section) there are a LOT of people who recently went and had a good time also.

The thing that really gets to me is....most of the complainers are people that went on this ship with a "FREE CRUISE" voucher for the time share thing. Do they actually think there going to get Class A accommodations for free???
How stupid can they be?? AND, if they are that inexperienced at "FREE" offers and don't know that there is always a catch with ANYTHING that is "FREE", then, that's their own problem. They should keep their unhappiness to themselves and not express it publicly, like I should care about their stupidity.

Just to let all you FREE cruisers know....NOTHING is FREE in this world..and if it seems to good to believe....it probably is!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much for your thoughts & sharing your experience. We're going in less than 2 weeks to maximize the cost of the air before getting on the Allure...no one will see me being a cry baby! I know what to expect for the price & hope to enjoy Freeport as much as the last time. Zorbas's in Lucaya is so yummy! Thanks again for being so positive.

We sailed on her when it was out of FLL and we LOVED IT! People have to just be sure they know that they are sailing on, because it used to be a ferry (taking people, cars, trucks) and isn't a "mega liner" with all the bells and whistles. Also, one has to be aware that there is a difference of booking it through CELEBRATION Cruise Line or CARRIBEAN Cruise Line. CELEBRATION is the actual company (and the name of the ship), but CARRIBEAN are the time share people. Booking through a knowledgable and reputable travel agent should alleviate any confusion between the two. The only reason we even knew time share people were on the ship, was because we heard them talking amongst themselves. No personnel ever even mentioned "time share" to us. I just hope they got embarkation straightened out, because that was a mess for us in FLL. I kept telling the agent we weren't from the time share people, but he kept insisting I go to that desk and that I was wrong. I knew I was right and asked for a supervisor, but they wouldn't get one and just kept telling me I was wrong. Of course, the time share people didn't have any of our info, so even though I had my receipt and faxes from the line itself, now they were all saying we weren't even booked! Finally...magically, the agent found out tickets...just where I told him I was told they'd be! Thus, had he looked there in the first place, none of this would have happened. But except for this instance, the rest of our cruise was "smooth sailing" and very enjoyable :)

I agree 100% with everything you said. I had a great time also last march. Looking forward to sailing on her again one day.

Do they still only allow doubling (in blackjack) on 10 and 11's - and not on soft hands... like they did on Regal Empress?

It was precisely at that point that I made my mind up about the cruise line!

Tompands, I have to agree with you. After reading the reviews from people who did the timeshare tour, I thought the ship was a lot nicer than I was lead to believe. It is a great weekend getaway especially for those residing in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. I also enjoyed the food.
Those who want a weekend getaway or the cruise/hotel combination are better off going to a knowledgable travel agent, and booking the cruise via that channel.

WPB is directly north on I-95.

Just know that this sailing will likely be A LOT different than your 7 day trip on a real cruise (just sayin')!

Nonetheless, some report having a good time. You may feel that way as well.

Good luck!

These are the directions to the port: Celebration Cruise Line’s Bahamas Celebration is located at One East 11th Street in Riviera Beach in Palm Beach County. If you are coming from the South take I-95 north to 45th Street (Exit 74). Follow the signs to the Port of Palm and make a left on Broadway (US 1). The port will be on your right as you cross the bridge.

The distance is about 70 miles from the Port Of Miami, so about 1:45 hours.
