What do you do with your Ship Board Card after your cruise?
Recently a friend of mine e-mailed me a pictures of his Ship Board Card from a cruise he was on several years ago, we had also been on the same ship a few months before him. I got a chuckle out of it because I also still had that card and as a matter of fact both DH and I both carry all of our Ship Board Cards in our wallet. I guess it is just our way to remembering our cruise every time we open our wallets. Not sure what we will do once we have been on a lot more cruises, maybe just get a bigger wallet:o

Great question and poll!
Except that I can't use any of your answers because what I do is a cross between the first and the second choice:
I keep my most recent cruises' shipcard in my wallet, and cards from cruises prior to my most recent cruise go into the "scrap box" for each cruise.

We don't have them in a scrapbook, but we do keep them and unlike most other things, I do know where they are!

I had a fire and lost most of them. I have one left that was in a box at my daughter's home. So I don't really fit in the cats either. But I do intented to keep all of them.

Hi Lisa - I see you were finally able to get your poll up and running.
I still can't get a new thread started.
I make scrap books of all our cruises - cruise cards, invitations, etc., all go in them.

Host Walt emailed me on a way to try to post the poll and it worked. He basically said to shorten the title and the body of the thread to 10 word or less and have no punctuation. I did that then I went back in and edited it. He is going to check in to see why this is happening.
So maybe the same for you just shorten everything getit posted then go back and edit it.:)
Everyone one else I know I might not have a box for you to check on what exactly you do with your card but I was having trouble getting this poll posted. Just check what is close and you can comment on what you do with your card.:) Thanks, sorry it does not quite fit everyone.

I did shorten everything from when I started trying to create a new thread last - still no results. Nor have I have heard from anyone. I sent an e-mail to technical support last Saturday.

I put mine in my journal, not exactly a cruise scrapbook but still a nice little place of reference of all the memories of the trip.

We actually scan them and keep an electronic version in our photo files. The orginals, from at least the last cruise, are in a box waiting to become part of a scrapbook.

Like KK, we have cards, invites, etc. in a scrapbook. My DW produces a lovely book for each cruise with these items and a selection of photos we took. It's a great way to go back and relive our cruises while we're waiting for time to drag on before the next one.

I have them posted on the wall of my cubicle at work right under the postcard of the ship that they came from & the tiles are velcro-ed to the other wall near the framed photos of us on the ship...

What a fun poll!!
We have them in our cruise albums. Now Chimera is putting all of our photos on CD and scanning in the programs and other things so I have a seperate book for mementos. I don't quite know how it will sort out yet.
I'm just happy we get to keep the cards now. Remember the paper ID's that you had to turn in as you disembarked? I was always sorry that I was unable to keep mine.

I never turned mine in. Each cruise, I just kept them in my wallet, and was never asked for them upon leaving.

I don't really have them in a scrap book. They are in a zip=lock bag with HAL baggage tags and many useless mariner badges.

I think RevNeal said "Scrapbox". That's what I have for nearly every cruise we have taken. I plan to make scrapbooks for each of them someday but in the meantime I have a shoe box for each one with luggage tags and bar tabs and daily newsletters and cruisecards, etc. etc. Just can't find the time to put the scrapbooks together. But I would never, never throw away a cruise card. Marilyn

We have them stapled to the wall in our garage, along with a map of one or all of the destinations or a daily program. We also put up maps of our land journeys. Its fun to look around the garage and see where we've been!

Now that's one of the best ideas I've seen in a long time. I've been wondering how to spruce up the garage. Now I know!

I put our shipboard cards together with our boarding passes for all the flights (there are usually quite a few) plus our photos into a photo album of that particular holiday. I also keep the chits from our entry into museums, art galleries churches etc. and if we eat out at a really good restaurant I save the account and that also goes into the album.
It is lovely to look back at those holidays and see what we did and where we went. The little extras that are added into the album bring the holiday back to life.

KK, write directly to Host Walt and see if he can help you with that thread problem you're having. He has an email link in his profile.
We also have a National Geographic world map on our garage wall and we put push pins for every place we've visited in our lifetime. Every time I pull into the garage I'm reminded of how very lucky we are.

Our kids have ours. Every once in a while I catch them playing "cruise" or some other game with them and get a happy little reminder. :)

As soon as I get home, I take my film to be developed and then I put my scrapbook together. I always have one page at the back with "stuff" that is a collage of the boarding passes, tickets, receipts, ship board cards, etc. I keep EVERYTHING from the cruise and it all goes in my scrapbook!:D

We have a moderate size wall map and a display cabinet in the library. Cards go into the display cabinet. Colored pins in the map for ports we have revisited. Flags for the new ports. Whole thing goes back 40 years and, if you don't know the code, it's a mess to look at.....but colorful.

I put our sign and sail cards side by side in my vacation album right under a postcard of the ship (those in the stationary in the cabin). Then, I cut out the intinerary so it will find in a 4x6 photo album slot and use it. I have a few other things I always do in all of my albums: A photo of the bow showing the ships name, a photo of a life ring, and a photo of the wake. Since I went to digital photography, I quit printing everything, and just put maybe 25 - 30 of my best (a general representation of the cruise) in the album. It doesn't take up as much room. I take lots of photos, so the albums started getting in the way. Now I save everything on CD's, my hard drive, or post them on my photo page.

One goes into the scapbook and one gets turned into a Christmas tree ornament. I have a little trip tree(trimmed with flamingo lights) and the cards and keychains collected on our trips are hung there.
