To all of you old timers on the CC boards, I would like to know how to get a countdown clock with EASY directions and also...where and how do I get a photo/icon to insert on my posts? Thanks....G. Johnsonhttp://boards.cruisecritic.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Go to this page - http://www.geocities.com/quietman01970/maker1.htm - and generate the code for your clock (UBB code will probably be the better option)
Come back to CC
Go to your User CP (link near the top left hand corner of the page)
Go to Edit Signature
Insert the UBB code into the text entry box and Save Signature
Can you see everyone else's signatures with their countdown clocks? If so, you'll be seeing your own on your posts as well.

for pictures you must go to UserCp at the top of the page and then go to edit Avatar. You can either use your own or make a selection from the standard ones. Good luck and have fun. :D

If you mean putting pictures in your post, but you're not talking about the avatar (?), save the pic you want to a folder you can easily find...if you're not sure how to do that, just ask, I'll be happy to walk you through (not that you don't know how, but just offering;))...then go to this image dump site here: http://www.imageshack.com/ Click on browse and find your picture in the window that pops up. Double click the picture that you want to use. Now click upload on that page and wait a few seconds. It will give you a code that you can then cut and past into your replies or your signiture. :D

Thanks to all of you who wrote in reference to the pictures (avator) didn't even know what they were called and the clock site. I have tried the avator first and was not successful with my first atempt. I'll try when I have more time rather than when I am rushing to get to work.
I will also go to the site ya'll sent and try the clock/calander. I have printed all of your respsonces and should be able to get it done. Again, thanks ALL of you who responded.

Thanks for posting, I didn't have to go searching on the test forum!
Hopefully I will be able to add a new countdown clock SOON! :D

Make sure you are copying the entire UBB code that comes up on that
page......when I was doing mine, I wasn't copying the entire thing.....its
quite long.

Can someone tell me why my clock numbers refuse to show up like they do in Susan-M? They use to show up but now I just get the link to them. I can click on that and see the clock numbers...how many days, hours, minutes and seconds....but that is the only way to see them. I know I am leaving something out but can't figure out what it is?

Ziggy,......
YES YES......I was finally able to get it up and running. Now, I don't feel so isolated. I am part of the crowd.

Why am I having troubles - all I see on the screen is the coding for the clock even when the poster says their clock is working. Can someone help me, do I have a wrong setting in my browser? I am using Internet Explorer. This is becoming very frustrating for me.
Thanks,
David
