Which pier location does the Zaandam use when docked in St. Thomas -Havensight or the "new" facilities on the other end of the bay? Have the shopping facilities been completed at the new dock? We were there last March (on the Radisson - Seven Seas Navigator) and construction was underway. What store/restaurants are at the pier?

Yesterday the Maasdam was at the "old" pier. When we were there on the Zuiderdam we were anchored in the harbor. I think much depends on where the harbor master assigns berths.

There is no firm response. It can vary from visit to visit and even the USVI site is not always accurate when it states which pier will be used by each ship each month.
We were supposed to be at Crown Bay on Veendam and ended up tendering. The Virgin Islands site was incorrect in stating we were docking. www.********** (http://www.**********)
The largest ships usually get Havensight and the ships that call every week have priorities for the best docking.

Same thing happened to us a couple of times. We were supposed to have docked at Havensight around 8 AM. We didn't get there till shortly after 9 - had to tender in.
From what I have read on the other boards, Crown Bay still isn't completed yet. Some say this spring????
