Just a mention that there is a bit more to do and see at Crown Bay since our last visit about 6 months ago. There are a few more shops/stalls for trinkets and souvenirs.
There is also a slot machine casino open and operating for anyone who wants to do some gambling nearby the ship. We didn't go in so I can't say how large or how many machines but it looked like a fair number.

When I was there a week ago last Wednesday I found an internet place where I got an hour for five dollars and was able to post on this site. That is something I could not do from the Eurodam. I then broursed around the shops at the pier and was quite content not to go into town. I didn't see the casino but then i am not a gambler.

Himself,
I'm so happy for your post.
Two things........ I totally forgot to mention about the availability of WiFi at Crown Bay. That's new and Welcome.
Also........ I asked yesterday about accessing CC from Eurodam. I was never able to connect to CC while aboard. I tried maybe three or four times and kept getting 'error' message. Wonder why? Any idea?

For sure, Crown Bay has come a long way. For those of us who JUST have to shop in St. Thomas, Crown Bay is a good alternative. You can do some shopping and avoid all of the "temptation's" of the downtown shop's!

since I don't recall ever seeing any gambling on St. Thomas.

Voters in USVI approved gambling probably 5 years or more ago but it has taken a while for actual gambling to begin. St. Croix had gambling locations earlier than St. Thomas.
The slots are 'really new' as you say.
We were there last week and saw them for the first time having not seen them last spring.
;) That is what is so great about these boards. Someone has visited a place more recently than someone else, learns something new and comes here to share that info. :) For more info, google can probably help.
