Looks like Thomas will be smack in the path of Eurodam heading for San Juan next weekend. Do they change the port order if that happens? Anyone have experience in this? Didn't see anything on HAL's site.
Also, is tonic water soda for the soda card purpose? If so do you get it in a can? Just wondering if I need to bring some or if the card gets it.

Yes. If it is not safe to cruise the scheduled itinerary, it will be changed. We have had ports cancelled, order of ports changed and even embarkation port changed due to Hurricanes (and other reasons).
First and foremost, they will do everything for safety.
We left Eurodam last Saturday and had another wonderful cruise on her. Hope you like that ship and crew as much as we do. :)

I've been wondering about next week's cruise, too. It's suppose to be raining every day. But I guess that still beats working.

Rain is one thing -- a cruise itinerary is not changed for that.
But a hurricane -- YES.
We had our Oct 10th Ryndam cruise changed. Instead of doing Key West, Belize, Honduras and Costa May we went east from Key West to Nassau, Half Moon Cay, and Grand Turk.

So how close does the hurricane have to get? WE're suppose to be leaving this Sat. and Tomas is suppose to be lurking around Grand Turk and the Bahamas.

I really don't know. This was the first time that we have had nearly an entire itinerary changed because of a huricane.
The captains will stay as far away from a huricane as they can -- these are not last minute decisions. They do not want to harm the passengers or their ships.
We did not leave Key West right away -- we were scheduled to leave at 6 PM -- we actually left at 6:50 -- decisions were being made then. We were in the Crow's Nest around 8 when we looked out the port side windows and saw the coast of Florida. We knew then that something was up. After leaving Key West for a western Caribbean cruise you should see nothing. Around 9 PM the captain came on and announced our new itinerary because of Huricane Paula.
You can be certain that the captain will keep you all safe.

Looking at today's projected path you probably will be ok, though certainly should have rain. The storm itself will be far northeast of your itinerary by Sat. night/Sunday morning.
