This will be our first time on the Oosterdam and we get to cruise in a deluxe suite for the first time ... so we were just wondering what some of the favorite suite amenities were!

We love the Neptune Lounge. We love to pop in there for a bite to eat, tea, juice. We ate many "meals" in the Neptune or carried them back to our cabin. Also, the concierges are very nice and helpful with any requests or problems.

Another vote for Neptune Lounge and the Concierges as our favorite amenity with a Suite. That and guaranteed dining time of choice.
Now that free laundry is given to four star mariners,for us it doesn't matter Suites have that included.

Question on the choice of dining time... When we first booked we were in a VA, so we set our dining time for the early seating, same table (for two, as it is our anniversary.) So, does being in a suite change that?? Not sure what the choice of dining time meant in the above responses. Thanks!!

I know it isn't really an amenity...
...but the reason I love Deluxes is the plentiful closet space

No. Your booking number remains the same, so everything [excursions, dining reservations, MDR seating] stays the same.

In regard to the free pressing, do we just ask the concierge to have everything in our suitcase pressed when we get on board? Will I come back to my suite and see everything hanging beautifully in the closet? Or does it take overnite to have pressing done?

In regard to the free pressing...
You have to go thru the process as if you were sending it out for cleaning:
Write up an itemized tag
Call the steward who picks it up
Tell him if there's something that you need that evening.
Items will arrive either on hangers or neatly folded.

I love the concierge service - knowing if there is problem, it will get fixed right away.
I also love the dressing area and closet - great storage and a place to put all my makeup, hairbrush, etc.
As we always have a HC cabin, I've never had a large sink area in the bathrooms.
So this area is very handy for me!

I've been booking suites since before there was the Neptune Lounge and all the other amenities. The key back then was the extra room and I guess that's still the main driver for us. The NP and other amenities just make it that much better. :)

Neptune Lounge ..was very nice embarkation day
Laundry ........ garments were beautifully pressed
Pinnacle ..........for breakfast a delight.
But the reason we sailed in a suite ..... the corner aft balcony.....
just as lovely as I imagined.:)

I like everything everyone has said...I also like being able to avoid the line at the front desk...the Neptune Concierges can do everything for you that they can do at the front desk including getting you change before you go ashore, or checking you onboard account... Oh and I don't want to forget about the coffee machine in the Neptune... the options are really quite good... DB777

Hadn't thought about this one. This is great as we have a number of countries ahead of us on the Statendam Panama Canal cruise and would like some small change walking around money so getting out of the lines at the front desk or trying to get this ashore will be a very nice bonus. Thanks for the suggestion.
