View Full Version : Oosterdam Teen area question

I have been receiving conflicting information as to whether the Oosterdam has received the new Teen areas such as the Loft and the Oasis yet. When I look online it shows that it has been upgraded but when I call them to confirm this I have received 2 no's and 1 yes. So I guess I need help from anyone who has recently sailed as to if it does or doesn't. HELP! I have about 8 teens sailing with us in March for Spring Break and this would be wonderful if it's really there now!

I have also not been able to get reliable info regarding teen areas on the Zuiderdam.
Please, do tell.

Yes, it is confusing...
The Vista Class ships were originally designed and built with sizable kids areas. Called the "Kid Zone" & "Wave Runner", it's located on Deck 10 - Observation Deck - just aft of the inside midships elevators near the Golf Simulator and Game Room.
Although they are not in line with the "Loft" and "Oasis" upgrades on the S and R Class ships, there are kids facilities there. They are bigger than anything HAL ever had on its other ships prior to Loft and Oasis and HAL is apparently considering them part of the SOE.
But no - there are no waterfalls on Oosterdam and Zuiderdam...

See that's what I'm looking to confirm and even being in this business I can't get a consistant answer. That's why I wanted someone who's been on this ship recently.
When I was on the Westerdam in December I did check out the kids areas and they were small compared to other cruise lines areas but I also realize that they do not have the amount of kids that the others carry as well. I think it's great what they are doing though for the teens and can't wait to sail on one of the ships that are complete.

We just got off the O'dam on Saturday. What Brian said is correct.
