We are taking our first cruise, to Alaska on the Statendam in July. We just received our stateroom assignment (B 185) and from the diagram it is next to the elevators. Should we be concerned about noise?

They actually are not next to the elevators but around the corner - great location to go up to the Lido and pool. We have been in one of these cabins many times. You won't hear a thing, unless you have noisy neighbours. :D
Enjoy Alaska - it's beautiful.
