I was checking out HAL's website for an upcoming cruise and noticed that three of my 7 cruise days are listed as "Cruising the Pacific Ocean". So I clicked on the link and got:

"The grand-daddy of the oceans, the Pacific is as broad as it is tall, sliced and diced by the Equator, the Date Line, the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, and the Arctic and Antarctic Circles.

Currently, online booking is not available for shore excursions in Cruising the Pacific Ocean. For further information about shore excursions in this port, please contact Holland America Line's Shore Excursions automated phone line 1-888-425-9376 or by e-mail to Shore Excursions."

Since when did the ocean become a shore excursion!! Is this an optional excursion for unruly pax? *grin*

That is pretty funny! Maybe they could offer snorkeling, or water skiing behind the ship. Or maybe whale back riding!

When "cruising" Lake Powell we would kill the motor and yell "swim break" and everyone jumped into the lake! Maybe that would be a good money maker for HAL: charge to jump off the the ship and swim in the ocean? :D

Okay - I used to ignore that on HAL's website. Now I am going to diffinately click onto that as well as the "Caribbean" and "Atlantic" oceans.
