Does anyone that has been on HAL to Hawaii know if we will sail around the island of Kauai so we see the Na Pali coast? Just curious.

I was there in 2008 and I don't think we did this. It seems to me we did do this when I was there in 2005 on the m.s. STATENDAM.

Your route map does not show you going around the north end of the island. :(

I suggest you take a helicopter flight. It was the highlight of our week in Kauai, with great views of the Na Pali coast.

The only ship that I know of that does the Na Pali sail by is the Pride of America. I did that trip last May. Do not miss the Na Pali coast it is unbelievable!

As stated earlier, it was about five years ago on the Statendam that we cruised by that area. Really beautiful.

Agree: in the past, but not lately. Really too bad as it was a very nice bit of scenic cruising, for about 2 hours; got to see the beautiful colours of the mountains and a few dolphins as well. I guess this just doesn't fit into the schedule now.
