We are booked on the 6/1 Volendam sailing out of Vancouver. We have a family group of 7 including my 84 y/o mother. We have reservations for the night before the cruise at the Hyatt in DT Vancouver so we have only a short trip to Canada Place. Just wondering what time would be optimal to get to the port for embarkation to minimize the wait for my mother?

I originally thought boarding early would be best, but since I was not sure how soon they will begin boarding and probably most of the other people on the ship have the same idea it might be better to wait.

Any suggestions for making embarkation as smooth as possible??

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the boarding time, but I will make sure my group leaves quickly. We are on the sailing before yours.

Although most people like getting on the ship "early" this usually has waits in non moving lines before boarding begins. I have seen these lines out the door. :) So I like showing up around 2pm- I'm never in a rush to get on any ship however. And just walk on with very little wait.
