I'm wondering if anyone has stayed in these cabins. Do they have a window that faces over the bow of the ship? Are they noisy due to the Officer's Bar being right next door? Is there a lot of movement since they are at the front of the ship?
Thank you

The window faces the verandah as shown on the diagram - check out HAL's website - Fleet.
Why do you think the Officer's Bar is right next door? I doubt very much that they would put the OB on a passenger deck.
Sure there could be movement right up front if the seas are rough, but then again, it could be nice and quiet up there. If you are worried, take a cabin mid-ship.

Someone posted somewhere that the OB is on deck 4, right at the front of the ship, next door to cabins 4001-4002.
Ive also read a post that stated S5001 and S5002 have two windows, one that faces over the bow of the ship and the other over the side. So I didn't know if the same was true for 4001 and 4002.
However, now that I think about it, that would be impossible if the OB was right next door! *giggle* Sometimes I am so brain dead. :)
Thanks.

Iggy - you are right about the OB - asked a friend who works on the Zuiderdam and he said "The officer's bar is on deck four completely forward - just before the bow - so you are correct in what you read. Still think it's a funny place for the OB. :)
You may want to consider taking a cabin mid-ship or near the stern. We always find it's quiet back there.
