We just booked our first ever Regent cruise. Does anybody know anything about this cabin? It looks larger than the others in that category. Thank you!

I don't know if it is any larger; if it is, it would be minimal and have no impact. We try to book 527 as that cabin allows three person occupancy. By taking that cabin, we eliminate any three person cabins near us.

I can't comment on the size question (I do think it is larger) but since we just got off the Navigator and were in 827 I can say that the location is terrific. You will be close to the main elevators and that will be very convenient. Maxine

Hotroot,
We were in Cabin 529 in 2007 (on our very first journey with Regent)
May I say what a fantastic cabin you have chosen.
You are mid ship so no rockin an rollin;);)
It may be a little longer at the entrance but never saw any of the other cabins to compare it to.
Just that little extra distance to carry your bride/or groom.
You are right next to Compass Rose so you will never be late for dinner.
Happy sailing

I have been in both 529 and 527 great cabins. I dont think there is any difference in size ... at least to the naked eye!
What I liked best is that it is near CR.
Also there are comfortable chairs just outside so if you are waiting for someone to get ready its a great place to sit and wait.
Only downside is no balcony. But with the vibration issue etc and because we were travelling with a new cruiser this location was perfect.

Thank you for the answers. We will keep this cabin. We have found we do not use our balcony when sailing on the smaller ships. On large ships, we need the balcony to get away from all of the people. On smaller ships you can always find a quiet, out of the way spot on deck. On our last two cruises, we booked window guarantees and were upgraded to balconies. We probably spent an hour on each cruise on the balcony. IF we ever go back to large ships, we will book the largest balcony on board.
