San Diego Parking

Has anyone ever parked at the port in San Diego? I've driven past where they dock the ships in the past, but can't picture the parking situation there. Car safety? Cost?

There is parking across the street from the cruise pier. My memory is that it is $12 a day.

There are a couple more lots further than Pacific Highway that are cheaper and run a shuttle to the ships, but still cost about $10/day. I don't know where you live in Arizona, but SW sometimes has fares as low as $29 from Phoenix and this may be cheaper!

Thanks. That's exactly what I was trying to compare, a cheap flight on SW Airlines as compared to parking.
