which ones to offer? We took 3 cruises this year and got the same tiles on the first 2 but on different ships. Maybe we could set up a tile exchange on CC so we could have more of a variety in our collections.

Not sure how they decide, but earlier in December when we went there were 3 of us in the room and we got 2 of the same and one different.

They still give out tiles? I didn't get one on my recent trip.

They usually give them out at the Marinars lunch, but we never seem to make it there so we just go to the front desk and ask for them. They either give it to us there or send it to the room. The key is that you have to ask.

On our Ryndam cruise in October there wasn't a table setup in the dining room with them -- none at our table -- and none in our cabin.
So when we got home I e-mailed the Mariner Society -- got them in a couple of days.

Not on our cruise. And we were among the last to leave as we were among the last to be served.
Maybe they changed things as I know a few other people who also contacted the Mariner Society about not receiving them on our cruise.

Ours are stacked in big piles.
Originally we were going to cover our gameroom bar with them. The original tiles were lovely. Then over the years the patterns were changed -- many we do not like - JMO. And they got thinner. That would have meant extra grout in places. Then a few years ago we remodeled our game room and the bar went.
Now a couple of years ago someone posted a picture of a serving tray that he made using the tiles as the inlaid.

Just an F.Y.I. The Mariner tile programme is alive and well. A new set of tiles is in the planning/manufacturing stage and should be available for distribution in the next three months.

What do you do with your tiles?
I double-stick tape them to the wall where I have my Inaugural plates/tiles mounted...
They used to live above the kitchen sink - but since I'm tiling that backsplash and entire wall, they've moved to a bathroom.
