I don't have pictures, but had DD404 on the Veendam recently (aft, opposite corner of the ship from 307). It was very nice, yet because of the location on Lower Promenade, was a little shorter than some other outside cabins. It had a loveseat rather than a sofa, but that was no problem. The window to the promenade deck needs to be curtained after dark or people out on deck can see in if you have lights on. No problem with the obstructed view. There was still some view and natural light.

We're sailing the Statendam in March. Are there any CC friends out there that have sailed on her recently? I keep looking for new trip reports. Thanks again to Doug and Eric who did a great series of postings on this board. Anybody else?????? Thanks in advance!

Your cabin is very far forward, so it could be bumpy if there are rough seas. It also means it's out of the high-traffic area, so should be quiet---including outside your window. It's an easy access to the outdoor deck, and especially easy to/from muster drill. The ship is small enough that it really isn't a long walk to anywhere, including all the way to the aft pool.
