When at a beach, how does a couple carry/secure their valuables, cash, ipod... If we both want to go in the water at the same time, I don't imagine it would be wise to leave an ipod on the lounge chair at the beach, even if we are at Half Moon Cay. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Leaving Jan 6 on Noordam!!! Can't wait!

Travel with friends and take turns staying on the beach watching everyone's belongings.

We have never had a problem, we usually leave it in out beach bag and put the beach bag under the chair. Most times you can see your chair from the water so you can always keep an eye on it every so often.

Half Moon cay is pretty safe, but anywhere else I would not leave valuables unattended.

There are lockers available for $5/day IIRC, behind the Watersports booth that rents sailboats and pedal boats. I don't know if you can open and close them multiple times for that one fee.
Or if you're only going in the water for a short time you could ask someone sitting near you to watch your stuff for a while.

If you are near a Wal Mart, in their sporting goods section (in ours, in the camping stuff), they have two sizes of waterproof plastic boxes. I was able to put a small digital camera, my watch and a money clip in one and just tied it to my swim trunks and towed it along. It is not buoyant enough to cause you problems with simple dives while snorkelling. I keep my ship card on a neck lanyard all the time so that I know where it is.
These boxes are also good for taking things on snorkelling or other boats during excursions to keep things dry.

We had clothes and shoes stolen last year and we were just a few feet away wading in the surf. Could not think some one would steal something of little value! Old sandals??
